**From Monday 07 April until Saturday 06 December, 2014 - construction to the bridge between Fancourt and The Links access on the R404 will result in this section of the R404 being closed for nine months.
Fancourt, South Africas premier leisure and business resort is situated in
the heart of the Garden Route. Ideally located just seven kilometres from
both George Airport and the historic town of George, the resort is superbly landscaped on 613 hectares of lush countryside with the majestic Outeniqua Mountains as the perfect backdrop.
The Fancourt Hotel has 115 guest rooms on offer comprising classic and luxury rooms as well as one bedroom and two bedroom suites.
Leisure activities on the resort include three Gary Player designed golf
courses all ranked in the Top 20 in South Africa with The Links ranked as
Number One. As well as a Spa, Kids Club, teen lounge, running and walking
trails, bird watching and a variety of restaurants.
A hair salon, ladies boutique, two Golf Pro Shops, tennis
courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, fishing dams and walking trails
provide guests with luxurious and exciting entertainment.
Glorious swimming beaches are easily accessible and mountain biking, horse
riding, picnics and hikes can be arranged on request. Sightseeing
excursions in the picturesque coastal towns of Knysna, Plettenberg Bay and
Mossel Bay are also available.
Fancourts reputation is internationally esteemed after being voted by CCNGo as one of the ten best golf resorts in the world and The Links golf course being ranked in the Top 50 in the world by Golf Digest USA.
