Meet the Starters

 

Prior to each game you will always have reported to the "Starter"

Our dedicated team will always do their utmost to make sure the pre-booked tee times (members with guest's course) and the first come first serve flights (members only course) run smoothly.

We have a head starter at the clubhouse and starters on each of the starting tees on weekends and public holidays. We are all on air communicating constantly to maintain the flow.

Along with starting duties our team also maintains the USGA based handicapping system. Each score card submitted after rounds will be entered into the computer system, at the end of each month the system automatically updates handicaps and that information is also available at the reception. The starting chit will show your handicap index.

Each course has a conversion table also located at the starter which indicates the "course handicap".

On-course marshalling is also controlled through the head starter, all matters related to enhancing the speed of play, rules queries, allocating caddies to the correct starting tee and starting times are quickly handled for your convenience.

During tournaments our starter team will also undertake the scoring and we have a vast knowledge of the various playing formats.
